Prelim- Reflection

Educational Technology 2 is concerned with integrating technology into teaching and learning. It helps us to have a deeper understanding on computer. It gives information to the students in which it will help them to learn and broaden their knowledge. Through this computer, the creativity of the students will be develop by giving them projects and activities. Indeed, the higher thinking skills of the students will be developed. Students now a days would easily learn if a teacher will integrate technology. So it simply means that, if a teacher will integrate technology in the teaching- learning process, the class will be more cooperative. They are motivated enough to do the task.  

Midterm- Reflection

Computer now a days really helps us to make our work easier and organized. I used computer for educational purposes and for entertainment. I can say that in using computer, you can learn something especially if you use it properly. There are advantages and disadvantages in using computer. On the other hand, as a student it really helps us to make our assignments, projects and even in research easily. Computer is already a part of a student necessity. A teacher can also use this computer in his/her lesson. It gives instructions and even it provides learning environment. 

Computer can be a tutor but it does not replace a teacher. But, it can deliver instructions and it can give information. Indeed, a teacher will always put the students into a right track.

How does technology used in their educational system?

Question: How does technology used in the educational system in your school? 

Answer: 

*Communication - All students and staff are given their own e-mails upon entering the College. This e-mail is used for notices, announcements and business reasons, such as a teacher sending a letter to the parents.

*Student Records - All student records are uploaded to the Internet using the school website. This is includes attendance and grades. The information in this website can only be accessed by teachers and staff and students can only access their own information using their school email and password.

*Technology in rooms - All rooms in the College are fitted with Projectors and the staff may choose either to use a desktop computer or a laptop computer. The school will provide these equipment to the teachers. The whole school is also WiFi-enabled to further the ease of access to various information from the Internet through the computers around the school and personal devices that the students bring.
